I joined Job Corps because: I wanted to better myself and my family and I knew that the way to a better life was through education. I wanted to complete a career technical training program in the vocation of Carpentry. I believed that my training would allow me to one day become a master carpenter.

Job Corps is helping me achieve my goals: Job Corps has provided me with the most important asset I could ask for and that is an opportunity. I knew in my heart if I was only given the opportunity I would continue to work hard and pursue my goals of being a provider for my family and a role model for my son.

The thing I like most about Job Corps: The great opportunities it presents a young people perusing a great career and the nurturing and caring staff that assisted me during my stay.

Advice to current and future Job Corps students: Job Corps is one of a few establishments where a young person can lay a successful foundation for themselves while gaining lifelong professional skills that will carry you as far as your dreams will allow. Take it from me - Job Corps works!
